Charge Nurse Manager Lucy Scott continuing her grandad's legacy
Ward one Charge Nurse Manager Lucy Scott is continuing the legacy of her late grandad Sir John Scott who walked the same halls at Middlemore Hospital, where she now works. Sir John Scott was a medical scientist who received a knighthood for services to medicine.

First baby born on Middlemore Hospital's 75th anniversary
At 2. 17 am on 3 May 2022, baby Ngati-Weston was born, becoming the first baby born at Middlemore Hospital on our 75th anniversary. The new bundle of joy and mother were supported through labour and birth by midwives Jana Walshe and Christy Yu.
