The Allied Health, Scientific and Technical (AHST) Awards were held on 14 October to recognise and celebrate the teams and staff who work for these services.
The wonderful afternoon of celebration was well attended by winners, their managers, and colleagues who came to support and celebrate with them.
Congratulations to all of the winners on the day.
Among the winners was our Screening Support Service, Community Health Worker team, who took out two awards: Team of the Year and the Supreme Award.
Kathy Pritchard, Service Manager Cancer Screening, says when the announcement was made the team were said to be speechless, which is unusual for such an energetic team.
"This is great recognition of the work the Screening Support Service team carry out but also has provided some discussion and recognition for the work carried out by our wider Cancer Screening team,” she added.
Allied Health, Scientific and Technical staff work in many roles across the organisation in acute, ambulatory and community-based services.
“I always feel incredibly proud of our staff at these events, and every day, but it is great to get together to acknowledge and celebrate the outstanding work and value they bring,” says Sanjoy Nand, Chief of Allied Health, Scientific and Technical.
