Notice from the Counties Manukau District Health Board

Due to COVID-19 physical distancing requirements, we will be changing the format in which meetings are delivered.  Public papers will be available one week prior to the meeting as normal.

If you would like to attend one of the public meetings of the Board or its Sub Committees, please contact the Board Secretary who will provide the appropriate teleconference details for that particular meeting. The Board Secretary can be reached at dinah.nicholas@middlemore.co.nz.

Overview

The Board's governance role is to provide governance and to ensure that CMDHB fulfils its statutory functions in the use of public resources.  The current Board governance structure includes three statutory committees and five non-statutory committees (including Advisory Groups) which assist the Board to meet it's responsibilities.  The committees include minutes/agendas of Board members, clinicians and community representatives.

Whilst the Board maintains overall responsibility for the DHB's performance, operational and management matters are assigned to the Chief Executive.

In recognition of the strategic requirement for shared system wide accountability and integration across the community and hospital care providers, CMDHB has an established district alliance with and related District Strategic Alliance Agreement with the five PHO partners operating within the Counties Manukau district.

This includes ProCare, National Hauora Coalition, Alliance Health Plus, Total Healthcare and East Health Trust.
