“Since my arrival from the United Kingdom seven years ago, my weight has steadily increased by 15kg,” says Beverly Higham, customer services representative at the MSC call centre.  “My knees and hips hurt and I was getting uncomfortable.  Back in the UK, I was a member of Slimming World, and it was the comradery and accountability that kept me on the straight and narrow. Since being in NZ I’ve found it hard to find a weight loss programme that works for me, so when the opportunity came to join my colleagues in a weight loss challenge, I jumped at the chance.

In fact a large percent of our patients tell us that being treated this way makes a big difference to their overall quality of care and treatment.   So how do we know we are providing the service we would be happy for our loved ones to receive and if not, why not?
