National health targets - quarter one 2015/16 results

Media release | Despite unprecedented demand in our Emergency Department, people of Counties Manukau were still within the Ministry of Health's recommended waiting times. The number of patients presenting to the EC department during this period averaged 344 patients per day and fluctuated between 302 and 400 patients per day. According to the National Health Target results which were released today by the Ministry of Health today, this means that 95% of our patients are admitted, discharged or transferred to a ward with six hours. This is a measure of the efficient flow of acute patients through public hospitals and home again.
